This has enlightened communities in terms of the commercial and social value placed on their natural and cultural heritage through tourism, and also helps to support conservation of these resources.

From AWC to The Communities
We support the local residents (often rural, poor, and economically marginalised) by:
Building and improving community campsites
Tour guide trainings
Maintainace of hiking trails, marking trails and mapping trails across Malawi
Providing catering and hospitality services at the campsites
This is done through grants and partnerships with local and international organisations.

Mentorship at secondary schools where we pay tuition fees for 100 students under the 2 Wheels 2 School initiative in partnership with a local company and Stewart the cyclist.
Learning to sell products at community centre shops to interact with different community members
Interacting with kids at different orphanages that we work with i.e cooking for the kids as well a teaching them how to cook
Cooking classes for communities and cooking for the elderly
Participating in community campsite management through implementing new ideas/helping/supporting in construction
Tree planting and farming at the community
Participating in making briquettes as well as compost manure
Helping with household chores such as fetching water and going to the maize mill
Community library support and work
Solid waste management i.e. clearing rivers, cleaning streets and parks
Participating in hand coffee roasting and harvesting tea by hand
